Welcome!
My name is Jen. I am a Psychologist, Psychodynamic Psychotherapist (ISTDP Trained), NDIS Psychologist, SIRA Approved Practitioner (Workers Compensation), Career Counsellor, and Educator. I offer a range of services to help support you on your journey and help you thrive.
I’m based in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. I offer face-to-face individual and group sessions, as well as Telehealth therapy services across Australia.
Therapy can be tough, and I understand that. My mission is to create a safe and supportive space for clients to turn up and be their authentic selves. I am passionate about empowering and educating others to better understand their emotions, anxiety, conscious and unconscious behaviours, and psychobiology.
My therapy approach is designed to discover, not tell.
In therapy, we work together as a team. I won’t simply tell you want to do; instead, we will discover the best path for you. This collaborative approach allows us to identify your emotional needs and goals, and together, we will work towards achieving them.
As your therapist, my aim is to provide a completely authentic, non-judgemental, and secure space for your personal growth and emotional healing. Together, we will develop skills and capacities to improve symptoms and overcome challenges. With newfound freedom to understand and respond to your feelings, you can experience more vitality and genuine happiness in life. One of the positive outcomes of therapy is developing a more authentic and positive relationship with yourself and others.
I truly believe therapy really is the ultimate form of self-care.

Services I Provide
ISTDP is a Psychodynamic and Emotion-Focused Therapy
(It’s not therapy where you’re talked at or given one-size-fits all strategies.)
In my practice, I use an innovative form of psychotherapy known as Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, or ISTDP for short.

ISTDP is research-backed approach that has shown remarkable effectiveness, even for individuals who haven’t found relief through traditional therapy methods. ISTDP focuses on our emotions, anxiety patterns and unconscious mechanisms whilst addressing internal conflicts. What’s more, it is tailored to your unique needs, values and strengths.
