How much do your services cost?
My current private practice fees for in-person and telehealth is $220 per individual session.
The Medicare rebate (with a GP referral and Care Plan) is currently around $97 per session making the out of pocket cost approximately $123 per session.
Fees for services provided by NDIS or Workcover will be charged at the scheduled fees and charges. If you have an NDIS plan or have approved psychology treatment through Workcover, there are no out of pocket costs.
Please note we are not a bulk-billing practice.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book yourself an appointment online through the online booking system or by contacting me via my contact details, please make sure to leave a voicemail if I don’t answer my phone (as I might be in a session!)
How do I get a Medicare rebate?
If you wish to get a Medicare rebate through a health care plan (e.g. Mental Health Care Treatment Plan or an Eating Disorders Care Plan), you will need to see your GP in the first instance. In order to be eligible to receive a rebate through Medicare, you must book a double length appointment with your GP to obtain a referral prior to your appointment. If deemed eligible, you may be entitled to Medicare rebates for up to 10 Individual Psychological appointments per calendar year.
Non-Directive pregnancy support counselling rebates are available for up to 3 services per patient, per pregnancy. A person who is currently pregnant or who has been pregnant in the preceding 12 months may access these rebates with a GP referral.
Your GP can send your referral directly to me, and then you can contact me to secure an appointment. Otherwise, just bring a copy of your referral and plan in our first appointment.
Do I need a referral to access therapy sessions?
No you don’t need one. Having a Mental Health Care Treatment Plan or any other GP referral simply allows you to access sessions at a reduced rate through Medicare or another scheme through rebates.
Rebates are “money back in your pocket”.
Private (no referral) services attract a standard rate of $220 per individual session.
What if I have Private Health?
As all health insurance policies and covers vary, you will need to contact your health insurer directly to discuss if you are eligible for a rebate.
If you have psychology cover through your private health, I will provide you with a receipt after our psychology session via email and then you can use this to claim your private health rebates.
I have a NDIS plan. Can I see you?
I can see participants who have a NDIS plan if they are funded for Psychology. This type of funding is under “Improved Daily Living”. This type of funding must also be Plan-Managed or Self-Managed.
If you have this type of funding, please get in touch as we can organise psychology sessions with no out-of-pocket costs.

How many sessions will I need?
Treatment length varies depending on your needs, the nature of your issue and the pace at which treatment can progress.
Therapy is not only an investment in mental health, but overall wellbeing. A discussion about a treatment plan and frequency of appointments will be discussed after assessment in your initial appointment.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so at least 48 hours before the appointment to give me time to plan ahead and offer the appointment elsewhere. Because both your’s and my time is valuable, I ask that clients make every reasonable effort to attend appointments. Extenuating circumstances will be considered carefully.
48 hours’ notice must be given for cancellation of new appointments to avoid a late fee. A reminder text message will be sent 48 hours before the appointment. If you need to cancel an appointment please contact me directly on 0415 995 615.
